For several years I have fought with metatarsal pain. Countless hours in super stiff mountaineering boots and a trail running habit haven't helped. Healthy feet are required to climb any mountain; so today, Dr. Larry Huppin and I decided to begin a series of steroid injections to hopefully shrink what has now become a Morton's neuroma. I also get to wear a very stylish walking boot.
The good news is that I will continue to work daily with the coaches at #uphillathlete to be sure, as Scott Johnston said "you're not the fittest immobile person on K2".
